Why do we love our parents or children? Why do we love our Fatherland? Why do we love own woman? Why do we like English?
So many questions… Who knows the answers? Everyone has own one.
"Why try so hard to figure out, these foolish things in life?” "Ghost of the robot.”
We just simply loving our woman, parents, children, Fatherland because they are, although if they are not perfect like all of us.
As usual, people joke, when answering question "Why do you do something?": "Firstly, it is just beautiful..."
The question really is that, why do we like English exactly except that "it is beautiful, firstly?"
English does not belong to one place it is language for all world. Now days English became the lingua franca that is language which people use to communicate when they have different native languages.
For example, if several people from Russia, Spain, China and Senegal meet somewhere, what language will they speaking in? I think that it will be English exactly.
"They had nothing in common but the English language.” E. M. Forster.
That is why in our time the majority of conversations in English happen without a native speaker present.
"There is no such thing as the Queen’s English. The property has gone into the hands of a joint stock company and we own the bulk of the shares!” Mark Twain.
Having English as a lingua franca does not mean we have to have an English lifestyle as well.
English became accepted the language of choice for people to learn if they want to get success.
This is language of politics, business and finance, film and music and so on. English is also an official working language for many international organizations such as the United Nations, European Union, World Bank etcetera.
In our information age, knowing English will allow us to access vast amounts of information through the Internet at absolutely free!
Other European languages are variations on Latin, but English had become "a mongrel dog" eventually.
Many years ago in the Britain the peasantry speaking old English, the nobility speaking French and the intelligentsia speaking Latin. And today we can see who and what has done there.

As we can see all English history was encoded on the English language.
There is a joke that goes like this: an English, a French, a Spanish and a German are speaking one another about their languages: "English is beautiful,” the English sighs. "Listen to this: butterfly!” The French nods and says, "French is beautiful too: papillon!” The Spanish smiles and says, "Spanish as well: mariposa!” The German huffs and frowns, and says, "look, what is your problem with Schmetterling?”
Can you imagine what the sauce turned out to be from all these "papillon”, "mariposa” and "Schmetterling?” But just a nice butterfly was born! The people says the linguistic beauty of the English language is responsible.
What do we mean by saying "English is beautiful?” May be it is wrong to think like that. Each of us can say that our language is beautiful and pleasant for ears. Just we know own first mother tongue very well because we were "born in it".
But still to my mind or in my opinion can not call the English by beautiful, because the language is just the tool our mind and the beauty lies in our soul and in the eyes of the beholder.
The paint is not beautiful it is just thing we can say that we like it, but painting, painted picture and canvas of artist are beautiful.
This question is a matter of taste, like music. There is plenty of beauty in the whole world!
Much like every sunrise is beautiful and every language is unique if we want to see it.
If the English has become already a lingua franca for all people and we from all countries have to speak English between themselves or among ourselves it would be foolish not to enjoy it and not start liking this language.
That is why we can call English beautiful exactly as I think.
